This is an original mug that uses photographs taken by Kazumoto Kazutsugu in various parts of Japan.

This photo was taken when I visited Yakushima, Kagoshima Prefecture. Yakushima is a rainy island that is said to rain 35 days a month. Therefore, I visited the island because I wanted to photograph fog.

As soon as I arrived on the island, I was baptized. The sunny sky got darker and darker and it started to rain. The heavy rain in the time zone when the morning sun still remains produced a rainbow. There are two big rainbows in the depths of these water droplets.

In this work, clear glass is used to make the most of the transparency of water droplets.

Other works use glasses made of materials that match the photos, so please take a look.
